(Lanka-e-News-10.Jan.2012, 8.30PM) With the dawn of the new year ,the criminal white Van syndrome has also a taken a new turn for the worse pertaining to its abductions and murders- as the crimes have risen so are its novel methods lately adopted…Since the beginning of the new year until the 6th , the white Van abductions have occurred at the rate of one per day. Except in one case of abductions , in all others , the victims were ruthlessly murdered almost immediately and their bodies put on public display, according to a set plan.

During the period of the war , that is in the year 2007 to 2009 , over 500 Tamil and Muslim people in Colombo and outskirts were abducted , and so far not even a hair of theirs had been picked up , let alone their bodies had been discovered. The nation remained silent assuming that they were LTTE members. Subsequently , abductions were committed on the Sinhalese people with journalist Prageeth Ekneliyagoda being among the first or second of the victims who went missing. That was in the early part of the year 2010.Thereafter , a number of Sinhalese nationals were abducted by the Van and killed ; even their bodies could not be found. Only , the body of Sudu Seeya was found drowned , when washed ashore.

But with the dawn of the new year 2012 , the white van crimes had taken a new dimension – practically all victims of abductions were murdered and a deliberate display of their dead bodies had been made . It is very evident from this that the aim of this new method is to instill fear in the public based on a cold and calculated plan.

This novel abduction method was recently inaugurated by the Rajapakse regime in Kelaniya against its own SLFP members with the beginning of the new year. Local body members of the district who had got frightened had not only assembled at the local body chairman’s house in fear of their lives , but have also initiated peaceful protests which are now mounting. On the 8th , they have held a public meeting in this connection , and a huge crowd attended it.

Meanwhile based on reports reaching Lanka e news , the regime which is engaged in committing abductions via the white Van, killing and displaying the bodies in public is itself gripped by a monumental fear of an imminent people’s rebellion . These criminal actions and novel methods of the regime are primarily aimed at warding off those possibilities by creating a fear psychosis among the people.

It is learnt that the regime chief had entrusted this novel white Van criminal operations to Major General Jagath Alwis , the Director General of the Army chief of staff division. The Army intelligence unit , as well as five main divisions including training comes under him. This Major General reports direct to the regime chief on the white Van operations and its criminal progress.

This Major General was originally in the security contingent of the regime chief . After obtaining a training in China , when he returned to Sri Lanka he had been saddled with this post. Until then this post was held vacant .The police protection to this white Van revolutionized operations is provided by DIG Anura Senanayake. The Major General is a very good friend of DIG ‘s late younger brother too.. The close association among them had provided the right climate and groundwork for the white Van criminal operations.

When the regime chief promised to the close friends of Donald that he would release the latter who was abducted by six armed personnel recently in the white Van , it became very clear that these unlawful abductions done outrageously by the white Van are with the knowledge of country’s leader , and he is therefore absolutely responsible for these heinous crimes.

If a complaint is to be made to this active group Committee , somebody close to the victim of disappearance should inform. Unfortunately , there aren’t even such persons remaining after the war to inform of the disappearances. Even without including those large number of disappearances , the number of disappearances standing at 5761 is something specially noteworthy. In the report , charges are leveled that impartial inquiries in regard to the human rights violators , filing charges, trying them in a court of law and punishing them had not been duly done . Neither the SL police nor the human rights Commission had been able to mete out justice to the victims, the report adds. Though various Commissions had been appointed , none of them had any vision and the people had no adequate opportunity to present their facts, the report laments. The UN groups in its report further states that the SL Govt. did not answer the charges , and it did not respond to the many requests made to it in 2009, 2010 and 2011 by the Active Committee to give it an opportunity to come to SL and investigate the facts. The abductions carried out in the white Van by the Rajapakse regime and disappearances of victims had been portrayed to the people as a lawful process. How the SC decisions in SL are ‘fixed' by filthy lucre exposed: One 'Broker' is an Astrologer

(Lanka-e-News-07.Feb.2012, 11.45PM) It has come to light that the Supreme court (SC), that is , the highest court in Sri Lanka is also not immune from corruption, and its decisions can be changed via filthy lucre. Lanka e News is in receipt of information pertaining to one of the methods adopted in this sordid manipulation.

The chief justice (CJ) of the SL supreme court is Dr. Shiranee Bandaranaike. Her husband is Pradeep Kariyawasam who was a spare parts vendor of United Motors for some time. Being a marketing manager, he later became the General Manager of United Motors. Subsequently when he became a bosom pal of President he was appointed as the Chairman of Insurance corporation. Currently, he is the Chairman of the National Savings Bank. He holds the rare and ignominious distinction as the only chairman of a Bank who hasn't any knowledge of finance or Banking management.

Mind you the most ludicrous aspect in these appointments is, that an astrologer is also holding the post of Working Director in that recognized Banking Institution. The whole world must be enjoying this joke when they learnt that it is a bogus astrological calculation wizard and not a financial wizard who is holding a Director post in a premier Bank in SL. This astrological wizard is Sumanadasa Abeygunawardena born in Morawaka and who has obtained his education at Morawaka Maha Vidyalaya. The only qualification (or rather disqualification) he has is that he is the astrologer who reads the astrological charts of the regime chief , Mahinda Rajapakse.

This bogus astrological wizard, the working Director of the Bank and the Chairman of the Bank are extremely close friends .

Now let us revert to our first paragraph of our news :

Sumanadasa Abeygunawardena charges exorbitant fees . May be because he reads the charts of the ‘Maharaja'. The lady who related this sordid episode has also gone to this astrologer to read her chart (kendaraya). She had been made to understand that she can know how to extricate herself from her litigation involvement via the chart reading. After the fees demanded by Abeygunawardena had been paid , the latter had stated that like how he can read where the stars are in the chart , he can also change the position of the stars. In other words he had told that he is capable of changing the decision of the Supreme court if payments are duly made.

The astrologer Sumanadasa Abeygunawardena had told directly and categorically that if she would make the payment demanded, he could ‘fix' even the SC decision.

This is how it was exposed that the CJ takes bribes through an agent of her husband. They are of course not frightened. After all the bribe is being taken by the CJ herself and the agent is none other than the astrologer for the regime chief. Hence, they must be therefore thinking , under such circumstances when the bigwigs of the judiciary and the Executive are involved , why fear .

When the legal climate and the judiciary has descended this low, it is clear that in SL now, though there is a supreme court there are no supreme legal traits and traditions which characterized it earlier.

Although it is well and widely known unequivocally that the independence of the SC no longer exists. This truth was further confirmed to the whole wide world by SC justices Dr. Shiranee Bandaranaike, Nimal Gamini Amaratunge and Suresh Chandra , when on the day the regime chief's son took oaths , these justices instead of being on the bench of the SC or in their official chambers , were in their official cloaks joking and shaking hands with the raw lawyer and tumbling over each other to take photographs with him , and attending parties on that occasion. That is, their conduct was not like that of judges of the highest court of SL, but rather like clowns in a circus arena. This scenario was deplorably unique because it had no parallel anywhere in the world in the judicial sphere for its stupidity and absurdity pertaining to behavior of judges of the highest court of the land. Every nook and cranny in the world became aware how like crooks and nannies these judges behaved in Sri Lanka .

It is well for every law abiding citizen of this country to realize that the time has come for them to put their foot down and take a momentous decision against the present SL climate when judicial decision s of the SC can also be changed via bribes.

Culprit holding arm in arm with former IGP Mahinda Balasooriya commits Multi million rupee credit card scam -CID involved but Balasooriya free !

(Lanka-e-News-28.Jan.2012,7.30PM) After an individual was taken into custody some time ago based on his links to a multi million credit card scam , it has come to light that he is closely associated with the police hierarchy . Consequently, desperate attempts are now being made to cover up this whole scenario of mass scale swindling.

Following the discovery by the investigating officers of a photograph depicting this criminal of criminals with Dr. Mahinda Balasooriya former IGP and present Ambassador to Brazil arm in arm , the police is trying to suppress this investigation.

By now it has become very clear that the former IGP Dr. Balasooriya is less a honorary Dr. and much more a dishonorable ‘criminal Dr.’ . Going by the doctorates conferred on politicos like Mervyn the vermin and lately Balasooriya , it is being widely questioned among the intellectual circles whether to obtain a doctorate, the aspirant in SL must prove he is more dishonorable and less honorable ? It is reported that the individuals who went to secure a ‘doctorate’ for him for money were of the same infamous group which led Ven. Soma Thero on the journey to confer a ‘doctorate’ on the latter . This ‘criminal Dr.’ had spent Rs. 18 lakhs to ‘buy’ this doctorate , and the worst part of it is , the disbursement towards this has been made by even a more notorious criminal ‘kudu Duminda’, reports say. Of course , there is nothing to prohibit an IGP from putting the arms round a criminal , but the most perplexing and vexatious issue is, why is this ‘criminal Dr.’ not interrogated despite glaring evidence of close links between this ‘criminal Dr’. and the criminal of criminals who has cheated in billions.

Moreover , a group of the CID police officers who are involved in this massive fraud has also surfaced. One sergeant who had been implicated directly has been taken into custody while an OIC of the CID had been interdicted. Four more CID police officers are being questioned after detention orders having been obtained on them. The Sergeant who had teamed up with this credit card fraudster had built a palatial mansion out of these illegal earnings.

This crooked sergeant had been recruited into service by former Director Vaidyalanakara. Latter is a bosom pal of Gotabaya , and by appointing a subordinate of his as Airport chief he had amassed inordinate wealth – the Director’s history reveals.

Meanwhile the CID is plunged in a grave internal confusion and chaos .So far 19 of its officers have been transferred immediately out to ordinary police divisions.

There are about 800 very affluent Sri Lankans implicated in this colossal credit card racket.
What is most noteworthy is this culprit who perpetrated this credit card scam has done this for the second time . When he was caught on the first occasion , he had paid out of the monies fraudulently collected and freed himself. A three year bound over sentence was delivered on him. He had utilized his knowledge gained when he was abroad to print forged credit cards using the secret numbers of the original card holders to commit this massive fraud. Of course he has fully exploited the present SL climate of ‘those at the top are the worst crooks’ to the full . He has therefore streamlined his racket with the IGP and the CID officers who as law enforcers of this regime have instead of enforcing the law had colluded with the hard core racketeer to transgress the law most flagrantly holding hand in hand and arm in arm.

The officers of the CID themselves are of the opinion that a satisfactory investigation cannot be anticipated in the circumstances. Their main doubt is based on the non interrogation of the former IGP who is truly the central link in this gigantic credit card scam. Unarmed prisoners brutally shot at – Prisoners set fire to Magazine prison Unconfirmed sources says 2 prisoners dead ; confirmed 30 hospitalized

(Lanka-e-News -24.Jan.2012, 11.30PM)Following a conflict between the prisoners in the remand prison of Colombo Magazine prison and the Prison officers this noon , unarmed prisoners were shot at by the police and prison officers. Consequently, 30 persons have sustained injuries , including 4 prison officers. They are all hospitalized.

According to prison inside sources, due to this dastardly shooting, two prisoners have died within the prison. There are more prisoners who have sustained injuries , but do not want to come out in fear that they would be killed, reports say. They are in mortal fear that they could be confined to the cell in the night and mauled , or even killed. It is not a custom any where in the world to shoot at unarmed prisoners with actual bullets within the prison ( except when escape attempts are made ). Most prisoners have received gunshot injuries to their two legs .

The prisoners who were obviously infuriated had set fire to the prison. Two Buildings have been fully consumed by the fire while another has also caught fire by now. The Fire brigades could not enter the premises as they were being pelted with stones and missiles, reports say.

The roads in front have been completely closed. The Army , police and prison officers were struggling to bring the situation under control. Tear gassing and shooting were going on within the prison.

The root cause of this attack has been the advent of Emil Ranjan , a crude and cruel prison administrative officer from the Kalutara prison transferred to the Magazine prison. He has a putrid record of getting caught red handed smuggling ganja into the prison when he was a jailor. He treats the prisoners in the most bestial manner. If he finds even a beedi in the possession of a prisoner , he tries to prolong the jail sentence of that prisoner by a year.

Today’s clash was triggered when the meals brought to the prisoners by visitors were restricted. When it was ordered that only a loaf of bread and two plantains can be brought by a visitor , a heated dispute has sparked between the prisoners and prison administrators.

Some prisoners have tried to climb to the roof of the prison and protest . The prison officers have started assaulting the prisoners when the dispute escalated. The prisoners have then retaliated by hurling stones and missiles , whereupon the prison officers have started firing at the prisoners. When they were shot at , the prisoners who were further provoked set fire to the prison and attacked those who came to douse the flames.

It is noteworthy that prison officers are absolutely prohibited from entering the prison with firearms. Shooting at the unarmed prisoners is therefore a most serious crime and an act of worst brutality.

The prisoners who are inside are panicking and requesting to save their lives.

Meanwhile , according to reports , Gen. Sarath Fonseka who is detained at the Welikade prison and not at the Magazine is safe.

Based on reports received in the evening , a Commission is to be appointed to inquire into the cause of the riot within the prison.

How the SC decisions in SL are ‘fixed' by filthy lucre exposed: One 'Broker' is an Astrologer

(Lanka-e-News-07.Feb.2012, 11.45PM) It has come to light that the Supreme court (SC), that is , the highest court in Sri Lanka is also not immune from corruption, and its decisions can be changed via filthy lucre. Lanka e News is in receipt of information pertaining to one of the methods adopted in this sordid manipulation.

The chief justice (CJ) of the SL supreme court is Dr. Shiranee Bandaranaike. Her husband is Pradeep Kariyawasam who was a spare parts vendor of United Motors for some time. Being a marketing manager, he later became the General Manager of United Motors. Subsequently when he became a bosom pal of President he was appointed as the Chairman of Insurance corporation. Currently, he is the Chairman of the National Savings Bank. He holds the rare and ignominious distinction as the only chairman of a Bank who hasn't any knowledge of finance or Banking management.

Mind you the most ludicrous aspect in these appointments is, that an astrologer is also holding the post of Working Director in that recognized Banking Institution. The whole world must be enjoying this joke when they learnt that it is a bogus astrological calculation wizard and not a financial wizard who is holding a Director post in a premier Bank in SL. This astrological wizard is Sumanadasa Abeygunawardena born in Morawaka and who has obtained his education at Morawaka Maha Vidyalaya. The only qualification (or rather disqualification) he has is that he is the astrologer who reads the astrological charts of the regime chief , Mahinda Rajapakse.

This bogus astrological wizard, the working Director of the Bank and the Chairman of the Bank are extremely close friends .

Now let us revert to our first paragraph of our news :

Sumanadasa Abeygunawardena charges exorbitant fees . May be because he reads the charts of the ‘Maharaja'. The lady who related this sordid episode has also gone to this astrologer to read her chart (kendaraya). She had been made to understand that she can know how to extricate herself from her litigation involvement via the chart reading. After the fees demanded by Abeygunawardena had been paid , the latter had stated that like how he can read where the stars are in the chart , he can also change the position of the stars. In other words he had told that he is capable of changing the decision of the Supreme court if payments are duly made.

The astrologer Sumanadasa Abeygunawardena had told directly and categorically that if she would make the payment demanded, he could ‘fix' even the SC decision.

This is how it was exposed that the CJ takes bribes through an agent of her husband. They are of course not frightened. After all the bribe is being taken by the CJ herself and the agent is none other than the astrologer for the regime chief. Hence, they must be therefore thinking , under such circumstances when the bigwigs of the judiciary and the Executive are involved , why fear .

When the legal climate and the judiciary has descended this low, it is clear that in SL now, though there is a supreme court there are no supreme legal traits and traditions which characterized it earlier.

Although it is well and widely known unequivocally that the independence of the SC no longer exists. This truth was further confirmed to the whole wide world by SC justices Dr. Shiranee Bandaranaike, Nimal Gamini Amaratunge and Suresh Chandra , when on the day the regime chief's son took oaths , these justices instead of being on the bench of the SC or in their official chambers , were in their official cloaks joking and shaking hands with the raw lawyer and tumbling over each other to take photographs with him , and attending parties on that occasion. That is, their conduct was not like that of judges of the highest court of SL, but rather like clowns in a circus arena. This scenario was deplorably unique because it had no parallel anywhere in the world in the judicial sphere for its stupidity and absurdity pertaining to behavior of judges of the highest court of the land. Every nook and cranny in the world became aware how like crooks and nannies these judges behaved in Sri Lanka .

It is well for every law abiding citizen of this country to realize that the time has come for them to put their foot down and take a momentous decision against the present SL climate when judicial decision s of the SC can also be changed via bribes.

Culprit holding arm in arm with former IGP Mahinda Balasooriya commits Multi million rupee credit card scam -CID involved but Balasooriya free !

(Lanka-e-News-28.Jan.2012,7.30PM) After an individual was taken into custody some time ago based on his links to a multi million credit card scam , it has come to light that he is closely associated with the police hierarchy . Consequently, desperate attempts are now being made to cover up this whole scenario of mass scale swindling.

Following the discovery by the investigating officers of a photograph depicting this criminal of criminals with Dr. Mahinda Balasooriya former IGP and present Ambassador to Brazil arm in arm , the police is trying to suppress this investigation.

By now it has become very clear that the former IGP Dr. Balasooriya is less a honorary Dr. and much more a dishonorable ‘criminal Dr.’ . Going by the doctorates conferred on politicos like Mervyn the vermin and lately Balasooriya , it is being widely questioned among the intellectual circles whether to obtain a doctorate, the aspirant in SL must prove he is more dishonorable and less honorable ? It is reported that the individuals who went to secure a ‘doctorate’ for him for money were of the same infamous group which led Ven. Soma Thero on the journey to confer a ‘doctorate’ on the latter . This ‘criminal Dr.’ had spent Rs. 18 lakhs to ‘buy’ this doctorate , and the worst part of it is , the disbursement towards this has been made by even a more notorious criminal ‘kudu Duminda’, reports say. Of course , there is nothing to prohibit an IGP from putting the arms round a criminal , but the most perplexing and vexatious issue is, why is this ‘criminal Dr.’ not interrogated despite glaring evidence of close links between this ‘criminal Dr’. and the criminal of criminals who has cheated in billions.

Moreover , a group of the CID police officers who are involved in this massive fraud has also surfaced. One sergeant who had been implicated directly has been taken into custody while an OIC of the CID had been interdicted. Four more CID police officers are being questioned after detention orders having been obtained on them. The Sergeant who had teamed up with this credit card fraudster had built a palatial mansion out of these illegal earnings.

This crooked sergeant had been recruited into service by former Director Vaidyalanakara. Latter is a bosom pal of Gotabaya , and by appointing a subordinate of his as Airport chief he had amassed inordinate wealth – the Director’s history reveals.

Meanwhile the CID is plunged in a grave internal confusion and chaos .So far 19 of its officers have been transferred immediately out to ordinary police divisions.

There are about 800 very affluent Sri Lankans implicated in this colossal credit card racket.
What is most noteworthy is this culprit who perpetrated this credit card scam has done this for the second time . When he was caught on the first occasion , he had paid out of the monies fraudulently collected and freed himself. A three year bound over sentence was delivered on him. He had utilized his knowledge gained when he was abroad to print forged credit cards using the secret numbers of the original card holders to commit this massive fraud. Of course he has fully exploited the present SL climate of ‘those at the top are the worst crooks’ to the full . He has therefore streamlined his racket with the IGP and the CID officers who as law enforcers of this regime have instead of enforcing the law had colluded with the hard core racketeer to transgress the law most flagrantly holding hand in hand and arm in arm.

The officers of the CID themselves are of the opinion that a satisfactory investigation cannot be anticipated in the circumstances. Their main doubt is based on the non interrogation of the former IGP who is truly the central link in this gigantic credit card scam. Get to know Leashan the double murder criminal in Paiyagala fatal accident: funeral houses of victims made into war zones !

(Lanka-e-News -31.Jan.2012,11.30PM) The actual driver of the vehicle in the accident at Paiyagala who killed two and critically injured another owing to reckless driving under the influence of liquor is Leashan De Silva , as confirmed by reports reaching Lanka e news. This criminal is the son of the youngest sister of Deputy Minister Rohitha Abeygunawardena. We have included herein a number of photographs of his . In all these photos it is very apparent that this criminal son is a habitual drunkard going by his appearance. His mother too is addicted to liquor. Recently she had driven a vehicle of Abeygunawardena’s Ministry and had met with an accident at Waskaduwa . Fortunately no one had been injured.

In the double murder triple accident , the vehicle involved WP KO 1214 had been registered on 17th March 2011 and the name of the owner under the registration is Rahune Katherine Gomez. Her address is No. 157/3 , Dhuwa Road, Beddegana, Pitakotte, Kotte.

What is most intriguing and frustrating in this deadly double murder triple accident that occurred on the 28th , a statement from the owner of the vehicle has still not been recorded. May be this is in keeping with the raging lawlessness in the country under the MaRa regime where even laws are being improvised to suit politicos, their criminal henchmen and hooligans.

Believe it or not , even as this accident occurred , the first person to give a call to the Paiyagala police and instruct not to abide by the laws as this is a matter involving the Minister Abeygunawardena, is no less a person than the Kalutara division SSP Pathinayake.

Meanwhile, the areas where the homes of the two youths who died under the most tragic circumstances have been beefed up with security deploying the defense forces so much so that they look like battle zones. The Colombo South DIG I. M. Karunaratne had given instructions this morning to obtain a court order to conduct the funeral proceedings of these two youths in much the same way as that of Roshan Chanakage who was brutally killed by the Katunayake police.

It is most pitiful that in this country , even to conduct traditional funeral proceedings and give a decent burial to those who died under most tragic circumstances at the hands of lawless criminal elements and Govt.politicians has become a grave problem .

Double murder suspect in accident -the criminal 'son’of Minister ‘Raththaran’ trying to scoot to Singapore -Dastardly police gives 'lime treatment’ to conceal his drunkenness-

(Lanka-e-News -31.Jan.2012,11.30PM) The police officers of the Paiyagala police station themselves have charged that the OIC of the station IP Chaminda Kulasinghe , instead of enforcing the law on the accused , a nephew of Minister Rohitha Abeygunawardena who by reckless drunken driving killed two innocent cyclists and critically injured a motor cyclist , had unlawfully given the double murder suspect ‘lime treatment’ to ‘clear’ his liquor intoxication at the time of accident .

The IGP N K Ilangakoon who has lost all his sense of shame and duty consciousness after getting accustomed to descending to worst ignominious levels to serve the MaRa regime for the worst sycophantic reasons, and his media spokesman SP , Ajith Rohana , the attorney at law , who together ought to have performed their police duties duly in public interest and taken action against the nephew of the Minister , have instead conducted themselves most traitorously towards the nation , merely in order to fawn on the Minister most disgracefully and to stoop to the lowest depth possible to give wrongful protection to the accused who due to his ruthless and reckless drunken state killed two innocent individuals and critically injured a motor cyclist. We at Lanka e news are now following up on the truths we revealed yesterday in our report .

This chain of accidents involving three victims had been recorded in the Paiyagala police station at 11.55 p.m under ref. 91/139 of the police accident register or ‘accident information book’. The records show that there had been three accidents.

The first accident involves a bicycle – the victim cyclist had died . He is Nuwan Sanjeewa ,28 years old .

The second is another Bicycle victim – victim is 31 year old Mahabadhuge Gayan Fernando. The victim has been thrown off to a 23.7 meter high roof house and fallen into it breaking the roof , and died. If such a grave accident is to occur , the accused should have driven the vehicle at least at 110 kms. per hour , according to police officers conducting inquiries.

The third is a motor cycle victim – he is receiving intensive care treatment in the Hospital. The brain has been subject to blood clots . He is critical.

Prior to this recording in the Police books, the police had received three phone calls complaining of the high speed and reckless driving of the Minister’s nephew. One of the complaints was made by a private bus traveling to Galle which had escaped by a hair’s breadth , and had managed to avert meeting with an accident with this nephew’s vehicle. The other two calls have also reported on this reckless driving to the police.

The individual who was in the private bus and who gave the call told Lanka e news, that when he was trying to report on this dangerous and deadly driving , there was nobody at the Paiyagala police station to receive the urgent call.

This confirms that the police had not take any action to stop this dangerously driven vehicle even after the first accident had been met.

Finally , after this killer vehicle had stopped unable to proceed further, the killer drunken driver , the ‘relation son’ of the Minister had been brought to the police and kept inside the official room of the Paiyagala police OIC Chaminda Kulasinghe and given lime and other medications most solicitously to ‘ clear’ his drunkenness , until the Minister arrived, based on what was revealed by law abiding police officers in the police station sympathetic towards the innocent victims , who were being denied justice by the very law enforcers of the country taking the side of the twin murderer , simply because the murderer is a ‘relation son’ of a Minister .

Later the Minister who arrived at the police station has dispatched his nephew , the murderer under full security protection in a land cruiser home , and produced one Benaragama Vidhanalage Shirantha Haripriya , a henchman ,brought along by him to be substituted illegally as the driver of the killer vehicle.
Those who aided and abetted in this criminal conspiracy of fake ‘Raththaran’ alias Rohitha Abeygunawardena the Minister and deceiver are , wickedly brutal Kalutara SSP S D Perera the main culprit . The second culprit is the Paiyagala police OIC Colombage IP. The other two are of course , the IGP ILangakoon and his media spokesman Ajith Rohana already referred to in the foregoing paragraphs.

This entire atrocious operation and cover up are being carried out at the behest of the MaRa regime. The counterfeit substitute driver is now held in remand custody until the 8th of February , and will be produced for the identification parade.

Here are some salient legal points pertaining to the arrest of a suspect , a drunken driver following an accident. There is no law in Sri Lanka to hold an identification parade in such an instance. His intoxication has to be tested by blowing a balloon - a breathalyzer . Before the courts, that test cannot be disproved , and is an irrefutable evidence. All these high ranking and law enforcing scoundrels involved in this are therefore , by having an identification parade followed by an Attorney General advice seeking to camouflage this heinous crime scene wherein a double murder has been committed and critical injuries caused to another by the ‘relation son’ of fake ‘Raththaran’ who was having high fun on the road in drunken state and driving recklessly . Now that there are also judges also in the present climate of raging lawlessness to facilitate these criminal manipulations , the stage is being set to rescue the murderous ‘relation son’ of fake Raththaran.

This type of criminal wrongdoers shall not be allowed to escape exploiting political and police patronage after killing two innocent citizens and injuring another who is now in a critical condition in Hospital. There is no conspiracy that the people cannot defeat if they unite. If these evil powers are used today to save and pedestal criminals , let us remind ourselves , tomorrow we shall be facing the same fate as those who suffered in this accident . Whether it is fake ‘Ratharan’ or his relation son or his orang utan of a son , they should not be permitted to escape punishment after committing cold blooded murders while indulging in wild pleasures of ‘wine , women and song’. The present police spokesman who is wearing the label of ‘Lawyer’ is unfortunately representing not the lawful , but rather the unlawful. This spokesman Ajith Rohana is nicknamed ‘Bathbada’ within the police Force. During the period 1988 -1989 , he joined the force as an SI. He became a Lawyer when the concession was given to police sub Inspectors to become Lawyers without sitting the law entrance exam . Later when he was serving in the Southern zone , he befriended Nirupama Rajapakse , a powerful person in the MaRa regime. Through his close clandestine association with her he shot up in his official position. . When he got married , the DIG of the southern zone had occasion to ask for an explanation from him as to why he was keeping Nirupama in his official residence during the nights. It is a pity that this Ajith Rohana is vilifying the very legal profession even after swearing the solemn professional oath when becoming a Lawyer. Using the label of Lawyer he has proved all along he is an accomplished liar who would stoop to the worst of sordid actions shamelessly instead of seeking to demonstrate he is an accomplished Lawyer who upholds the professional dignity and honor , in accord with the professional ethics. In this atrocious episode too he has played a key role in transforming legal norms into most illegal machinations for the most nefarious reasons unbecoming of a Lawyer .

Rohitha’s drunkard ‘killer son’ released by SSP who abjectly stoops to level of a dog before Minister

(Lanka-e-News-30.Jan.2012, 11.00PM) Lanka e news revealed on the 29th that the police has issued a notice that the most number of fatal accidents occurred on the 28th. The last was the killing of two pedestrians and injuring of a motorcyclist at Paiyagala in a car accident , it was reported . This notice has been released by the police while concealing the individual who caused this accident , according to reports reaching Lanka e news.

The driver who caused this fatal accident and escaped is the son of the sister of Rohitha Abeygunawardena alias ‘Raththaran’ , the Deputy Minister of Ports and Highways ,the Kalutara district Parliamentarian. This ‘killer son’ is 22 years old , and had been heavily drunk at the time he met with the accident. Even at the time of the accident there had been two bottles of Vodka and whisky in the car.

This killer son who had been at a party which was also attended by the Dep. Minister had been drinking with his friends when traveling to Colombo . The vehicle which was traveling at breakneck speed had run over two pedestrians killing them , hit a motorcyclist and fled. The motor cyclist had got thrown out from his bike and fallen into a house after breaking through its roof. The victim is in a critical condition in Hospital.

This entire monstrous tragedy had taken place within the Payagala police divison.
When the Paiyagala police had taken the vehicle into custody , the Minister Abeygunawardena had visited the police station and most humiliatingly berated the SSP and the police officers , while arrogantly screaming his sister’s ‘killer son’ drove the vehicle which killed two pedestrians and critically injured a motorcyclist and therefore be released . He had in place of him substituted another driver . These police scoundrels who are under the so called ‘clean’ IGP who parades as an officer of integrity have surrendered themselves most ignominiously abjectly to fake ‘Raththaran’ compromising their precious duty towards the public even after being fully aware that the killer son Orang utan of Ratharan is a cold blooded double Murder criminal. In this instance too the police has followed the jungle laws to save the orang utan after accepting the ‘ billy boy’– the substitute driver provided by fake ‘Raththaran’ who was arrested . It is learnt that he is going to be presented for the identification parade on the 31st. Who can identify as the culprit one who has not committed the crime ? Obviously the ‘billy boy ‘ will get released.
If this killer son given to intoxication and frolic enjoying political patronage who ruthlessly killed two innocent individuals and critically injured another gets released , this will be another addition to the list of escapees of ‘hit and run’ killers. It is therefore the duty of all concerned to ensure that this ‘orang utan’ of Ratharan is punished duly under the law.

Culprit holding arm in arm with former IGP Mahinda Balasooriya commits Multi million rupee credit card scam -CID involved but Balasooriya free !

(Lanka-e-News-28.Jan.2012,7.30PM) After an individual was taken into custody some time ago based on his links to a multi million credit card scam , it has come to light that he is closely associated with the police hierarchy . Consequently, desperate attempts are now being made to cover up this whole scenario of mass scale swindling.

Following the discovery by the investigating officers of a photograph depicting this criminal of criminals with Dr. Mahinda Balasooriya former IGP and present Ambassador to Brazil arm in arm , the police is trying to suppress this investigation.

By now it has become very clear that the former IGP Dr. Balasooriya is less a honorary Dr. and much more a dishonorable ‘criminal Dr.’ . Going by the doctorates conferred on politicos like Mervyn the vermin and lately Balasooriya , it is being widely questioned among the intellectual circles whether to obtain a doctorate, the aspirant in SL must prove he is more dishonorable and less honorable ? It is reported that the individuals who went to secure a ‘doctorate’ for him for money were of the same infamous group which led Ven. Soma Thero on the journey to confer a ‘doctorate’ on the latter . This ‘criminal Dr.’ had spent Rs. 18 lakhs to ‘buy’ this doctorate , and the worst part of it is , the disbursement towards this has been made by even a more notorious criminal ‘kudu Duminda’, reports say. Of course , there is nothing to prohibit an IGP from putting the arms round a criminal , but the most perplexing and vexatious issue is, why is this ‘criminal Dr.’ not interrogated despite glaring evidence of close links between this ‘criminal Dr’. and the criminal of criminals who has cheated in billions.

Moreover , a group of the CID police officers who are involved in this massive fraud has also surfaced. One sergeant who had been implicated directly has been taken into custody while an OIC of the CID had been interdicted. Four more CID police officers are being questioned after detention orders having been obtained on them. The Sergeant who had teamed up with this credit card fraudster had built a palatial mansion out of these illegal earnings.

This crooked sergeant had been recruited into service by former Director Vaidyalanakara. Latter is a bosom pal of Gotabaya , and by appointing a subordinate of his as Airport chief he had amassed inordinate wealth – the Director’s history reveals.

Meanwhile the CID is plunged in a grave internal confusion and chaos .So far 19 of its officers have been transferred immediately out to ordinary police divisions.

There are about 800 very affluent Sri Lankans implicated in this colossal credit card racket.
What is most noteworthy is this culprit who perpetrated this credit card scam has done this for the second time . When he was caught on the first occasion , he had paid out of the monies fraudulently collected and freed himself. A three year bound over sentence was delivered on him. He had utilized his knowledge gained when he was abroad to print forged credit cards using the secret numbers of the original card holders to commit this massive fraud. Of course he has fully exploited the present SL climate of ‘those at the top are the worst crooks’ to the full . He has therefore streamlined his racket with the IGP and the CID officers who as law enforcers of this regime have instead of enforcing the law had colluded with the hard core racketeer to transgress the law most flagrantly holding hand in hand and arm in arm.

The officers of the CID themselves are of the opinion that a satisfactory investigation cannot be anticipated in the circumstances. Their main doubt is based on the non interrogation of the former IGP who is truly the central link in this gigantic credit card scam. It is also their view that owing to Gotabaya appointing henchmen and hangers on of his to the police force , the entire prestige and integrity , if any ,the Force had been totally destroyed most disgracefully.

Unarmed prisoners brutally shot at – Prisoners set fire to Magazine prison Unconfirmed sources says 2 prisoners dead ; confirmed 30 hospitalized

(Lanka-e-News -24.Jan.2012, 11.30PM)Following a conflict between the prisoners in the remand prison of Colombo Magazine prison and the Prison officers this noon , unarmed prisoners were shot at by the police and prison officers. Consequently, 30 persons have sustained injuries , including 4 prison officers. They are all hospitalized.

According to prison inside sources, due to this dastardly shooting, two prisoners have died within the prison. There are more prisoners who have sustained injuries , but do not want to come out in fear that they would be killed, reports say. They are in mortal fear that they could be confined to the cell in the night and mauled , or even killed. It is not a custom any where in the world to shoot at unarmed prisoners with actual bullets within the prison ( except when escape attempts are made ). Most prisoners have received gunshot injuries to their two legs .

The prisoners who were obviously infuriated had set fire to the prison. Two Buildings have been fully consumed by the fire while another has also caught fire by now. The Fire brigades could not enter the premises as they were being pelted with stones and missiles, reports say.

The roads in front have been completely closed. The Army , police and prison officers were struggling to bring the situation under control. Tear gassing and shooting were going on within the prison.

The root cause of this attack has been the advent of Emil Ranjan , a crude and cruel prison administrative officer from the Kalutara prison transferred to the Magazine prison. He has a putrid record of getting caught red handed smuggling ganja into the prison when he was a jailor. He treats the prisoners in the most bestial manner. If he finds even a beedi in the possession of a prisoner , he tries to prolong the jail sentence of that prisoner by a year.

Today’s clash was triggered when the meals brought to the prisoners by visitors were restricted. When it was ordered that only a loaf of bread and two plantains can be brought by a visitor , a heated dispute has sparked between the prisoners and prison administrators.

Some prisoners have tried to climb to the roof of the prison and protest . The prison officers have started assaulting the prisoners when the dispute escalated. The prisoners have then retaliated by hurling stones and missiles , whereupon the prison officers have started firing at the prisoners. When they were shot at , the prisoners who were further provoked set fire to the prison and attacked those who came to douse the flames.

It is noteworthy that prison officers are absolutely prohibited from entering the prison with firearms. Shooting at the unarmed prisoners is therefore a most serious crime and an act of worst brutality.

The prisoners who are inside are panicking and requesting to save their lives.

Meanwhile , according to reports , Gen. Sarath Fonseka who is detained at the Welikade prison and not at the Magazine is safe.

Based on reports received in the evening , a Commission is to be appointed to inquire into the cause of the riot within the prison.
